This project was inspired by an old drawing of mine, one that was never fully finished. I wanted to capture the feeling of deeply caring for someone, even when that love is not returned—or when both feelings exist but circumstances make it impossible to be together. You can not change someone else’s heart, and you can not always control the conditions for things to work out. It feels like drowning in the open sea, surrounded by chaos, where every attempt to breathe only pulls you further under.
